I’m Angela Banks, the CEO & Clinical Director of “The Clarity Couch.” I am a licensed mental health therapist (LPCC) with a M.Ed in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a BA in Psychology. I provide a supportive and safe space for folx to work towards emotional wellness and relationship goals, while learning new ways to cope with symptoms related to anxiety, depression & past trauma. I specialize in working with high achieving and high-profile women, who appear “perfect” and are often considered “the strong friend.” I also specialize in working with clinicians (physicians, nurses, therapists etc.) that have experienced past trauma and relationship issues. I can assist you on your healing journey to develop coping skills, communicate effectively, increase confidence, improve relationships and practice true self care.
I am HerMaya Onunwor, a Masters level Licensed Social Worker (LSW) in the state of Ohio. I obtained my Master of Science in Social Administration with a focus in Mental Health from Case Western Reserve University. I've provided mental health services in an array of settings such as community agencies, hospitals, schools, and now through telework. It is my goal to provide clients with a welcoming and safe environment, free of judgment to promote freedom of expression and healing. Work can be demanding, exhausting, overwhelming, stressful, and can prevent you from enjoying life to the fullest. I specialize in working with clients who are experiencing anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders. Additionally, I assist clients who are having interpersonal relational issues due to family discord, relationship distress, and social isolation. Whether you are struggling to get along with your partner, healing from an unhealthy relationship, trying to establish meaningful or intimate relationships, or living with social anxiety.

I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, PTSD and other trauma-related disorders. I will assist you on your path to developing self-awareness, self-compassions and confidence, while also improving your relationships with others. I also enjoy working with children, ages 7 and up.
